11. Review of and update on matters considered by the Executive Board
11.1 Governance reform
→ Secretariat implementation plan on reform (decision WHA75(8) (2022))
1. The Executive Board at its 156th session noted the report on the Secretariat implementation plan on reform2 and the report of the 41st meeting of the Programme, Budget and Administration Committee,3 including relevant recommendations. Following on from the reports and discussions, Board members called for: (a) the implementation of remaining open actions – recognizing resource constraints, the need to prioritize and to ensure sustainability of gains achieved; (b) action to strengthen impact at the country level; (c) conducting regular assessments of outcomes and impact of reforms; (d) inclusion of reform results in subsequent progress reports through online progress tracking; (e) implementing prioritization strategies to optimize the use of resources and maximize synergies across existing reform workstreams; and (f) ensuring the participation of Member States in the assessment and priority-setting processes.
