UNSHAKEN: A MOTHER’S STRENGTH BEYOND SKIN — “VITILIGO DOES NOT DEFINE ME”

– Audrey Krupala –

My Name is Audrey Krupala. I’m a wife, mother, friend, daughter, and realtor. I’m 35 years old, and I’ve lived with vitiligo since I was 9. Growing up with this condition wasn’t easy. People could be cruel, and their words and stares often left me feeling isolated and unsure of my self-worth. I spent years wondering, “Why me?” I was often left feeling unsure if anyone could ever truly love or accept me for who I was.

It wasn’t until my early 20s that I began to truly embrace myself. I finally saw my own reflection with clarity and compassion. I stopped trying to change how others perceived me and started focusing on how I viewed myself. And what I saw was someone strong, worthy, and beautifully unique.

Vitiligo does not define me. But it has shaped me into someone who now feels grateful for the journey. My hope is to use my story to help others see the beauty within themselves, even when life feels chaotic. We weren’t created to be the same, but to learn from one another and lift each other up.

Always remember that you are beautifully and wonderfully made. God bless you all on this journey. We are not meant to walk it alone!
