MIRAMAR, FL – July 8, 2026 – The City of Miramar officially proclaimed June 25 as World Vitiligo Day during a special ceremony at Miramar City Hall, reaffirming its commitment to diversity, inclusion, and awareness for individuals living with vitiligo.

Presented by Mayor Wayne M. Messam and the Miramar City Commission in partnership with Massé World, the proclamation recognizes the importance of educating the public about vitiligo, reducing stigma, and promoting acceptance for the millions of people worldwide affected by the autoimmune condition.

Observed annually on June 25, World Vitiligo Day serves as a global call to increase awareness, encourage understanding, and celebrate the resilience of individuals living with vitiligo.

“This proclamation is more than a symbolic gesture; it is a statement that every individual deserves to be seen, respected, and included,” said Raissa Levy, Founder and Executive Director of Massé World.

Massé World extends its sincere appreciation to the City of Miramar, Mayor Wayne M. Messam, and the City Commission for recognizing World Vitiligo Day and standing alongside the vitiligo community in advancing awareness, inclusion, and hope
